July was busy but in a way that felt good. I was looking after my friends' farm for the month, which you can read about here and kept myself occupied with farm tasks, art and remote day job work.

Brief thoughts:
The end of the month was quite busy as I was preparing to make a temporary move for the month of July, where I am currently looking after animals on a farm. I completed a zine but didn't have the time to actually assemble physical copies before I left.

My flu symptoms persisted into the second week of the month. I started working on my first zine in ages—although to be fair, this statement isn't entirely accurate, I've been writing a bit over the last year with the intention of using it for a zine, but I've now reached the point where I've begun cutting paper and using a glue stick. And the super casual climbing club I began whispering about way back in November has started to gain interest!

Brief thoughts:
I was pretty busy with work until mid month, then I started vacation. I got stuck away from home for a few days because my car's starter decided it was time to RIP. The mechanic did a check around the vehicle and told me things looked great except for my tires, which were indeed looking worn, so I replaced those as well. Then it was Solstice and Christmas and New Year. The last week of December was awful, I had a fever for two days and have only now, January 2nd, gotten to the point in recovery where I am no longer coughing every ten seconds. I watched too much tv this week and my brain feels like it is melting.

Brief thoughts:
November was a strange month. After signing up for a monthly gym membership, I saw a poster for a local pole class and on a whim, signed up for it. Surprisingly, my body doesn't feel as sore as I thought it would—thanks to good ol' epsom salt baths and stretching. In other news, I taught myself how to knit hats using a circular loom, which some how resulted in someone gifting me a collection of needles that lead me to trying knitting needles and knitting a really thick scarf. I worked on a few small personal design projects that will be finished and shared in December.

It has been many months since I've updated—summer was busy. I bought a pottery wheel. I saw a band I never expected I'd see. I went on some beautiful hikes. I saw friends. I did not continue working on the new site layout.

Brief thoughts:
Oof, late to update. The new site is well underway and I'm pretty excited about it. If all goes well, it should go live in July. The site is being built with 11ty and Nunjucks, both totally new to me but it's been a fun experience. I'll be moving my Now pages over there—although I haven't quite figured out the format I'd like for them yet.

Brief thoughts:
I've decided to create a new website. I'll be moving my now pages over there eventually. The bones of the site are more or less complete at this point, but there are some kooky kinks that need to be fixed and mobile view needs some work, but I'm pretty happy with how it is looking so far. I'm planning to use 11ty (or maybe Hugo) to turn the site into a static generated site, which will ultimately make it easier to set up a rss feed and keep the site updated. I've never done this before so we'll see.

Brief thoughts:
This month has gone by faster than expected.
I lost a week to plumbing issues and the stress of dealing with said issues.
My pottery class is coming to an end and I will miss it greatly—most of what I created was wonky but I had a good time and look forward to enrolling in another class in the future.
With help from my dad, the car now has a bed in the back for future adventures. Once I have my set up a little more formalized, I'll be sharing the details.
For the month of March and April, I have been writing a zine on Brain Rot. I'm still writing it. My goal was to release a zine a month, but I've since reassessed that goal and decided on aiming for 4 zines this year which feels more realistic given my pacing—that said, if I feel like I can do more, I will!
